Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP

About the Role:

Midwest Psychiatric Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered mental health care to individuals of all ages. You’ll be instrumental in conducting psychiatric evaluations, managing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based care. This position offers the unique opportunity to work in both in-person and telehealth settings, allowing you to reach patients across our rural communities with limited access to psychiatric care.

Your contributions will directly impact the well-being of our patients, ensuring they receive the care they need in a timely manner. You’ll work closely with other team members, including administrative staff and collaborating providers, to create a seamless and supportive patient experience. Your role also includes opportunities for professional growth through collaboration, education, and leadership within the practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for new and existing patients.

  • Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.

  • Provide medication management and therapy during patient visits.

  • Maintain thorough documentation of patient care in accordance with practice policies.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.

  • Participate in marketing and networking efforts to build relationships with local providers.

  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options.

  • Stay current with best practices and continuing education requirements.

Requirements:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health.

  • Current PMHNP certification and licensure in North Dakota and/or Montana.

  • Strong clinical skills in psychiatric diagnosis, treatment planning, and psychopharmacology.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience in telehealth is preferred.

  • Must complete the credentialing process before the start date.

  • Willingness to travel within the state as required for in-person visits.
